Admission Require
Master’s Programs
Admission requirements for study in a professional or academic master’s degree program include:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning.
Academic achievement – typically a GPA above 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
GRE scores are currently waived due to the pandemic for all programs except Industrial Hygiene (both in-person and online).
Non-English speakers: Demonstration of proficiency in English to be able to study and communicate in English. In general scores of 89 or higher on TOEFL or an IELTS band of 6.5 are desired. Language testing will be waived if the student has received a degree from an accredited U.S. institution.

We require 2 letters of recommendation from references who can speak to the applicant’s academic capability or characteristics for success in public health graduate study.
Undergraduate Program

Step 1: Complete an undergraduate admission application
To expedite the admission decision, self-report your high school grades in the application.
1. Choose to not self-report → quicker application process, but takes a little longer for an admission decision.
2. Choose to self-report → application takes longer to complete, but the admission decision comes much faster.
WCU does not have a preference for which application you use to apply. WCU does not require an essay or personal statement in any of these options.
Step 2: Submit the nonrefundable application fee
Application apply: $200(Non-refund)
I-20 Processing: $200(Non-refund)
Step 3: Required Documents
If you do not self-report your high school grades in the application, you must have your high school send an official copy of your transcripts to WCU.
If you have earned college or university credit, request to have your official transcripts sent to WCU from the issuing institution.
Step 4: ACT or SAT scores (optional)
ACT or SAT scores are not required for admission but may be submitted for WCU course placement or as supplemental information. Have your scores sent to WCU from ACT or College Board when you register for the test. Learn more about sending your test scores to WCU in our FAQ section.
Step 5: Check the application status on your e-mail
Once you’ve completed all these steps, WCU will review your application. To see if you have any missing items and to review your admission status, sign in at My WCU using your Class 365 Portal Service User ID, which is sent to you after you apply for admission
US RESIDENTS STUDENTS
Step 1: Complete the Application for Admission attaching the required documents:
1) Copy of your ID (Drive License or Passport)
2) High School (College) diploma
3) High School (or College) Transcript
4) Application $200 (non-refundable)
Online Application for US Resident
Step 2: Wait for your application to be reviewed. If everything was completed correctly you will receive a decision letter from the university (usually within 2 weeks).
Step 3: If you received an official Acceptance Letter, you can proceed to enroll in classes for the next quarter. Next, you must fill out and sign the Enrollment Agreement for your chosen program of study. (This is done digitally – you will receive a link via email).
Step 4: Login into Student Portal Site and Register for the courses
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
New International Students – Stay in the US
Are you looking to begin your student journey at University? Want to apply to study with us but don’t understand the process and not sure where to start? Here is a simple step-by-step guide.
Step 1: Complete the Application for Admission attaching the required documents:
1) Copy of your ID (Drive License or Passport)
2) High School (College) diploma
3) High School (or College) Transcript
4) Copy of Current I -20 (International students only)
5) Copy of I-94 (International students only)
6) Proof of Financial Support (International students)
7) Application fee $200 and I-20 Processing $100 (Non-refundable)
Online Application
Step 2: If you have no any official English score, you will take the English Placement Test. You will received the request forma and link via email.
Step 3: Wait for your application to be reviewed. If everything was completed correctly you will receive a decision letter from the university (usually within 2 weeks).
Step 4: If you received an official Acceptance Letter, you can proceed to enroll in classes for the next quarter. Next, you must fill out and sign the Enrollment Agreement for your chosen program of study. (This is done digitally – you will receive a link via email).
Step 5: Depending on your particular situation you may be required to submit additional documentation at this step of the process. For example, F-1/I-20 students will receive links to fill out these required forms:
- F-1 Student Proof of Financial Support
- F-1 Student SEVIS Record Transfer
Step 6: Login into Student Portal Site and Register the courses

Step 1: Complete Application for Admission attaching the required documents:

Step 5: Course Registration and Tuition Payment
Transfer Credit(if available)
To admit the Transfer credit, please follow the below instruction.
Step 1: Transfer Credit Analysis Request Form attaching your transcripts your request to be reviewed. If everything was completed correctly you will receive a transfer credit report from the university.
Please note that the transfer of academic credit earned at nationally accredited post-secondary institutions is considered on a case-by-case basis.
The determination of which courses may be transferred and how many can be applied towards a degree at University is made by the Office of Academic Affairs.
Course Registration
To register the course, you need to fill out the online course registration form. Please login WCU portal system and go to Form. To complete your submission, you need to pay the course registration fee and tuition.

Wait for your submission to be reviewed. If everything was completed correctly you will receive a decision letter from the university.You can see your enrollment in the Class 365 system.
